The pop­u­lar se­ries of gigs at the Meet­ing Place at Stonelaw Church re­turns this Fri­day.

This time the head­lin­ers will be the Daddy Nag­gins. The group play a va­ri­ety of styles,in­clud­ing blue­grass, tra­di­tional tunes and mod­ern clas­sic pop songs.

The Daddy Nag­gins were formed in 2010 by Dar­ren Young (gui­tar/vo­cals) and Garry McFadden (banjo/vo­cals).

The band have now added dou­ble bass player/vo­cal­ist Hazel Fin­lay and Laura Beth Sal­ter on man­dolin and vo­cals. They have also re­leased a CD of their own ma­te­rial called‘A Cer­tain Par­adise’.

Sup­port on the night comes, as usual, from the Mairs Fam­ily Band.

Doors open at 7pm and the show will start at 7.30pm. En­try is £5 and tea/ coffee and home bak­ing are in­cluded in the ticket price. Chil­dren go free.

There is lim­ited seat­ing.
