Des is back with a new show

Rutherglen Reformer - - The Ticket -

Popular Scottish comedian Des McLean is set to return to Motherwell with a brand new show.

The funnyman will be at Motherwell Concert Hall on Saturday, April 9.

The multi-award winning comedian can’t wait to unleash a whole stack of new material at one of his favourite venues.

Having spent the last few years starring as Tommy Sheridan in the hit comedy show I-Tommy and touring USA, New Zealand Australia, and Canada, the show promises to be Des at his best, showing a master storyteller with endless funny observations on life.

This is a chance to see a man that Billy Connolly described as one of his favourite stand-up comedians.

His recent shows have drawn praise as“a virtuoso performance”by comedy website Chortle and as “unmissable, a master storyteller”by the List magazine.

As well as his comedy work, Des has worked for Radio Clyde and for the BBC, while his performance in I-Tommy saw him praised not just for his comic skills, but for his dramatic ability too.

Tickets are available from the venue in person or online at www.culturenl. co.uk, priced at £13 or 311 for concessions.

Showtime is 8pm.
