A Rutherglen man charged with demanding money from another male and having a screwdriver on his possession will stand trial on July 1, 2016.
Edward Whiteside, 41, of Ryan Way, is accused of adopting an aggressive stance towards a man, demanding money from him and uttering threats at a flat on August 20, 2015.
On the same day, Whiteside was charged with having a screwdriver with him in a public place without reasonable or lawful excuse at Burnside Road.
Both charges are believed to have been committed while Whiteside was on bail.
The accused, who denies all the charges against him, was due to stand trial last month but proceedings were halted as an essential witness was absent. He will return to court for an intermediate diet on June 1 before the trial starts the following month.
