New Cathkin road info event

The con­trac­tor who will build the Cathkin Relief Road will host a pub­lic in­for­ma­tion event today, Wed­nes­day, March 30.

News­let­ters have been dis­trib­uted across the lo­cal com­mu­nity and a web­site has gone on­line at www.lan­dengi­neer­ing.

The pub­lic event will take place from noon to 8pm at St Mark’s Church Hall in Fern­hill Road.

Joe Mclaugh­lin, se­nior project man­ager, said:“We will be en­gag­ing with lo­cal res­i­dents and all other in­ter­ested stake­hold­ers through­out our de­liv­ery of the project. We en­cour­age all those in­ter­ested to at­tend the forth­com­ing pub­lic in­for­ma­tion event, where fur­ther in­for­ma­tion will be avail­able and the project team from Land En­gi­neer­ing will be on hand to an­swer ques­tions on the man­age­ment and de­liv­ery of the con­tract”.

Res­i­dents will be able to view dis­play pan­els on the project as well as time­lines.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from both Land En­gi­neer­ing and South La­nark­shire Coun­cil will an­swer ques­tions.

Work is set to get un­der­way on April 4.
