Laura is new cop keeping town safe
A new community cop has taken on the role of keeping the Rutherglen and Cambuslang communities safe.
Constable Laura Taylor is the new safer communities officer for Rutherglen, Cambuslang and East Kilbride.
PC Taylor began her police service at Rutherglen in June 2010 as part of the community policing team where she spent three years before moving to response policing in East Kilbride in May 2013.
She quickly grasped the basic policing qualities and moved to the operational support department at East Kilbride, providing support to the local divisional management team.
In August 2015, PC Taylor returned to response policing in East Kilbride before joining the safer communities team.
She said: “I’m looking forward to working closely with the partner agencies PC Greg Roberton ( her predecessor) has been working with and building new relationships within the community. I will continue to focus on reducing crime and disorder and work with the local communities.”
