Cambuslang Rangers’glamour tie with Auchinleck Talbot was postponed much to the relief of manger Paul McColl.

The Lang would have been without Stuart and Bob Davidson and captain Neil Newman for the New Coin Holdings West of Scotland third round cup tie.

The game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Beechwood Park.

Now the Lang turn their attention to a league game with Forth after they were knocked off top spot by Port Glasgow.

McColl said: “Forth are on a good wee run and it will be a difficult game. We can’t afford any slip ups.”

Cambuslang Rugby Club’s match with Oban Lorne also fell foul of the weather. The Cambus will take on Garnock as they look to avoid relegation from BT West Division 1.
