Rutherglen Reformer - - Gossip Girl -

Residents in Rutherglen and Cambuslang are being urged to tackle Scotland’s toughest trekathon to raise money for a good cause.

The 26.2 mile long Glencoe Challenge will see participants cover the marathon distance from the heart of Glencoe to the foothills of Ben Nevis.

Parkinson’s UK have organised the event which will take place on July 2.

No experience is necessary and participants will receive expert guidance throughout from professional event staff.

Parkinson’s UK is looking for as many people as possible to join up and make it a memorable day.

Fundraiser Emma Hall said: “The work of Parkinson’s UK - whether it be worldleading research or providing local support for people with Parkinson’s - is entirely dependent on donations and fundraising events like this.

“There’s always a great team spirit at these events and it is sure to be a fun day. Parkinson’s UK wants more people to take part so if you are interested get in touch.”
