Bold homes plan
The Scottish Government have presided over a £60 million cut in the housing budget.
It is simply not good enough to tenants in Rutherglen and Cambuslang for the SNP to try and blame Westminster for their failure in a policy area which is entirely devolved.
We need to focus on increasing the supply of affordable housing.
We want to bring house-building starts to 25,000 a year – back to pre-recession levels within five years. This should be a mix of housing but quality, affordable homes must play a part.
The Scottish Conservative and Unionist plan will address the housing shortage by investing in 100,000 new homes by 2021.
Local people will see housing waiting lists tackled because we have a bold plan to invest in housing in our community.
