Man denies assault and cruelty to a dog
A Castlemilk man has been charged with throwing a dog to the ground and assaulting another man and a pregnant woman.
Anthony Rennard ,21, was charged with striking the woman on her body and also repeatedly punching and kicking another male on the head and body at Castlemilk Drive, Glasgow, on February 11, 2014.
Rennard, of Tormusk Road, Castlemilk, is claimed to have pursued the man and repeatedly punched, kicked and stamped on his body.
The male is also claimed to have seized a dog and thrown it to the ground and behaved in an abusive or threatening manner by shouting and swearing.
All offences are alleged to have been committed while he was on bail.
This week at Glasgow Sheriff Court Rennard pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Rennard also faces the charge of failing to appear at a court diet on May 27, 2015. Trial will continue on April 29.
