Two join bill at weekend music festival
A music bash in Gourock this weekend will have a Cambuslang touch.
Two of the acts playing at the Go-Rock festival on Saturday are from this area.
The bash takes place across three Gourock venues with ticket-holders allowed to go between them all.
Appearing will be Jonny Jack from Glenburn Avenue.
The former Trinity High pupil has played at King Tut’s and also supported acts including Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and Scottish indie rockers the View.
In 2014 he released his EP‘Skin To The Bone’.
He is currently working on new material in Wales.
Also appearing is Rebekah Kirk from Macarthur Wynd.
The teenage songstress has enjoyed success in various talent contests and has started working on her own material as well as covering popular songs.
The festival is run by the non-profit organisation Music on the Brain.
They provide free music lessons to those affected by cancer and use proceeds from the event to buy new musical instruments.
