Ad­ven­ture awaits with Air Cadets

The Air Cadet squadron for Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang is look­ing for new re­cruits to be­come part of their team.

32F(1st Glas­gow) Squadron is seek­ing boys and girls in sec­ond year of high school or above to join their ad­ven­tur­ous troop.

Young­sters who join will be able to take part in a range of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing pow­ered fly­ing, glid­ing, marks­man­ship, field craft and ad­ven­ture train­ing.

They will also have the op­por­tu­nity to com­plete the Duke of Ed­in­burgh Award, un­der­take first aid train­ing and sign up to be­come a cadet ju­nior leader.

The air force cadets for South Glas­gow, the 32F(1st Glas­gow) Squadron meets ev­ery Mon­day and Fri­day evening at 155 Car­munnock Road.

Ses­sions run from 7.30pm till 9.30pm, are free and peo­ple wish­ing to at­tend can sim­ply turn up on the night.
