The four gen­eral elec­tion can­di­dates vy­ing for votes in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang will be put to the test at a hus­tings meet­ing.

Burn­side Com­mu­nity Coun­cil will host the event on April 28 when ques­tions will be put to can­di­dates Tay­lor Muir, Con­ser­va­tive, James Kelly, Labour, Robert Brown, Lib Dem, and Clare Haughey, SNP.

The fo­rum will be chaired by Robert Rowatt and the for­mat will be sim­i­lar to the BBC’s ‘Ques­tion Time’, with brief state­ments from the can­di­dates be­fore an open ques­tion and an­swer ses­sion. Ques­tions should be emailed to bob@rowatt. The hus­tings will get un­der way at 7.30pm at Burn­side Blair­beth Church build­ing, Church Av­enue.
