Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

A new project that supports people to look for jobs and manage their money online has been launched.

The Select initiative - Supporting Employment and Learning by Empowering Communities in Technology - is being run by Community Links.

The digital inclusion project will see trained volunteers support people to search for jobs online, set up a Universal Jobmatch account and create an online CV.

It will also teach people how to manage their finances efficiently.

There are three hubs in the area running the project.

Two are held at the Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre, on Mondays and Wednesdays, both sessions running from 10am to 4pm.

Another hub is held at Number 18 on Farmloan Road in Rutherglen. This takes place from 9am to 1pm on Fridays.

The hubs are free and operate on a drop-in basis.
