We are taking care of the NHS
As an NHS nurse, I see first hand how it’s delivering some of the UK’s best and fastest care.
The latest four hour A&E data is 94.2 per cent in Scotland, 87.8 per cent in England, and 76.3 per cent in Wales. Last month, 4,387 people waited more than 12 hours in Labour-run Welsh A&E departments to be seen, compared to around 115 in Scotland.
If re-elected, the SNP will transform our NHS with nearly £2bn of extra investment, action to tackle cancer, support for mental health and deliver healthcare closer to home.
Only the SNP has committed to increase the health budget by £500m above inflation by 2021.
We’ve a competent long-term plan for the NHS and social care, including £200m elective centres. Through primary care reform we’ll bring multidisciplinary teams to surgeries, and deliver a community health service. We’ll increase number of consultants, make greater use of clinical generalists, and enshrine safe staffing in law.
