Sean is top Spider-man
Queen’s Park captain Sean Burns claimed two awards at the player of the year awards after leading his side to an almost certain play-off position.
The 24 year-old defender was amongst the winners at the award ceremony that followed Queen’s 2-1 win over Clyde on Saturday.
He picked up the committee player of the year and goal of the season awards for his stunning strike against Montrose.
Queen’s Park young supporters player of the year went to Vinnie Berry, while Willie Muir was chosen as the Supporters ’Association player of the year (The Ivy Riddell Award).
The Travel Club player of the year (The Martin Kelly Award) went to Ryan McGeever.
Joseph Myles was the nine and over Young Spiders penalty kick winner and Liam McGee was the eight and under Young Spiders penalty kick winner.
Bob Findlay also received a special award as he retires after 27 years as club physio. Clyde’s player of the year was Chris Smith and goal of the season went to JP McGovern.
