Location, location, location

I was delighted to work on another photoshoot with The Scottish Wedding Directory this month.

I love being part of editorial work, so to spend a day working on location with a very talented team around you is a joy.

This was for the July issue and was shot at Muckrach Lodge, 13 miles from Aviemore. It is an absolutely stunning setting. With hair stylist Lidia Attino of Volume Hair, photographer Chris Blott, Beth Farquhar Fashion co-ordinator from the magazine and model Claire Thompson, on location for the day, I really was working with a top team.

And with 12 dresses to shoot in the sunshine, it was straight to work upon arrival ... the joys of working in the unpredictable Scottish weather! The look of the day for hair and make-up was soft, natural and summery.

There were a few hair changes to compliment the different dresses, but the make up remained the same lovely, warm earthy tones to suit Claire’s gorgeous red hair, with just a little touch up here and there to keep her camera ready between shots.

Beth selected the exquisite dresses and chose from a huge selection of gorgeous jewellery and beautiful bouquets and head pieces. Not the worst job in the world!

It truly was a great experience and now I can look forward to my favourite bit the day the magazine is delivered to my studio and I get to see all the hard work from Beth and the team in print. It’s so rewarding.
