the lads of Drumsagard Foot­ball acad­emy were cel­e­brat­ing at the week­end when they picked up the top prize at the an­nual Rea­monn gorm­ley Memo­rial soc­cer Fes­ti­val.

the 2002s proved the pick of the bunch when they went up against teams from all over La­nark­shire and emerged tri­umphant at the palace grounds in Hamilton.

the three day fes­ti­val, which was or­gan­ised by Blan­tyre soc­cer acad­emy, raised more than £8,000 for char­ity.

Rea­monn was just 19 when he was mur­dered in an at­tempted street rob­bery whilst walk­ing home from the parkville Ho­tel, in Blan­tyre, on Fe­bru­ary 1, 2011.
