Women deny at­tack

Two women have de­nied re­peat­edly punch­ing other women in an al­leged ho­mo­pho­bic at­tack.

Diane Bul­loch, of Hawthorne Av­enue, Cam­bus­lang, and co-ac­cused 41-year-old Es­ther Cor­don, of Hamilton Road, to­gether pleaded not guilty to three charges when they ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on May 23.

The pair are ac­cused of acting in an ag­gres­sive man­ner by swear­ing, ut­ter­ing threats of vi­o­lence and shout­ing ho­mo­pho­bic re­marks at two women on Hawthorn Av­enue on Jan­uary 12, 2016.

They are also ac­cused of re­peat­edly punch­ing one woman on the head, seizing her by the hair and body and pulling her to the ground, while Bul­loch is ac­cused of pulling a sec­ond woman to the ground and at­tempt­ing to kick her on the head.

Bul­loch, 34, is fur­ther ac­cused of com­mit­ting the of­fences hav­ing been granted bail on Au­gust 17, 2015.

Both women will stand trial at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on June 22.
