Man de­nies racist slurs

An al­leged out­burst of racism saw one Cam­bus­lang man hauled be­fore the courts last week.

Thomas Black, of Elm Drive, is ac­cused of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing and abu­sive man­ner by mak­ing racist re­marks to­wards a man at a restau­rant on Main Street.

The 53 year old’s case was ad­journed when he ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on June 7 be­cause of le­gal aid is­sues.

Black, who de­nies all charges against him, will re­turn to court for an in­ter­me­di­ate trial diet on July 13.
