Steven in Champs League challenge
Rutherglen footballer Steven Saunders has set his sights on Euro glory after signing for Welsh champions The New Saints (TNS).
Saunders, who has one Scotland cap, spent most of last season at Dumbarton.
He has now taken the leap of moving to the Welsh league.
TNS won their fifth successive title last year and will enter the Champions League at the first round stage at the end of this month.
They will be seeded for the draw which could pit them against the champions of the Faroe Islands, Malta, Armenia or San Marino.
Steven also may not have too long to make a return to Scotland. Changes to the Challenge Cup format mean the champions of Wales and Northern Ireland can play in the competition.
The 25-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year deal last week.
Former Stonelaw pupil Steven started his career with Motherwell and went on to win a Scotland cap in 2010 aged just 19.
After a string of injuries he signed for Ross County in 2013 before signing for Dumbarton in September last year.
