On the road to re­cov­ery

Peo­ple re­cov­er­ing from drug and al­co­hol ad­dic­tion are be­ing urged to dig out their walk­ing shoes and take part in Re­cov­ery Walk Scot­land 2016.

The walk, on Septem­ber 17 in Falkirk, will see an es­ti­mated 2,000 peo­ple make re­cov­ery from ad­dic­tion vis­i­ble and proud in Scot­land.

Peo­ple work­ing to over­come ad­dic­tion in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang are in­vited to join the walk with their fam­i­lies, friends, staff from treat­ment cen­tres and other sup­port­ers.

They are in­vited to learn more about the walk at a spe­cial in­for­ma­tion event in Glas­gow’s East End on June 29.

Held at PARC, Church of Nazarene, Park­head, at mid­day, the event is for any­one in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing the Falkirk walk and will last ap­prox­i­mately one hour.
