Accused denies abuse against woman and a vicious assault
A man accused of unleashing a tirade of physical abuse against a woman in Rutherglen will stand trial tomorrow, June 30.
David William Black is accused of throwing containers of liquid at the woman, following her home, seizing a telephone from her hand, grabbing her by the hair and repeatedly punching her on the head on March 20, 2016.
Black, of Richmond Place, is also accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by repeatedly kicking a door, shouting, swearing and throwing a telephone against a wall.
The 37-year-old accused denied all of the charges against him when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on June 17.
