Queen’s wel­come Paul as coach

Queen’s Park wel­comed back for­mer player Paul Ron­ald as an as­sis­tant coach along with a host of play­ers re-sign­ing with the club for next sea­son.

Ron­ald, who played for The Spi­ders from 2006 and fin­ished his play­ing ca­reer with the club in 2009, joins Gus MacPher­son’s back room staff and will as­sist with the first team.

Queen’s Park also re­vealed yes­ter­day, Tues­day, Craig McLeish, An­drew Murphy, Billy Mor­timer, Dar­ren Miller, Joshua Watt, Ryan McGeever, Gavin Mitchell, Paul Woods, Joe Bradley, Sean Burns, David Galt, Liam Brown, Jamie McKer­non and An­thony Quinn have all signed new deals.

And the Spi­ders wel­come Alan Ma­hood who will be join­ing the club’s coach­ing staff. The for­mer Not­ting­ham For­est player will take over coach­ing Queen’s Park’s U20’s squad along with David Man­der­son, who was for­mally at U17’s level.

Com­ment­ing on the ap­point­ments, MacPher­son said: “Ob­vi­ously Paul brings ex­pe­ri­ence. He was at Queen’Park so he knows the club and knows the stan­dards.”
