Drug charges de­nied

A 31-year-old man is ac­cused of in­tend­ing to sup­ply drugs in Cam­bus­lang.

John Clift is charged with be­ing in pos­ses­sion of class B drug cannabis resin, and of be­ing in pos­ses­sion of class A drug di­amor­phine with the in­tent to sup­ply it to oth­ers.

Clift, of Ar­ran Tower, was al­legedly found with the drugs on Oc­to­ber 16, 2015 at his home ad­dress, where he is also ac­cused of by­pass­ing the elec­tric­ity me­tre.

He faces a fourth charge of sell­ing a stolen mo­bile phone on the same date.

Clift de­nied all charges against him when he ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on June 21.

He will re­turn for trial on July 26.
