Help to get on road to work

-

People keen to cycle to work but lacking confidence are being offered a helping hand by Camglen Bike Town Initiative.

Run by Healthy n’ Happy Community Trust, the initiative is offering free training to people living and working in Rutherglen and Cambuslang throughout August.

Participants will be trained in basic cycle skills and will be supported to plan a route to work. They will be accompanied by an experienced cyclist on their first day of cycling to and from their workplace.

In addition to the free cycling workshops on August 20 and August 27 the Camglen Bike Town Initiative is running Wednesday guided rides.

People of all ages are invited to cycle at their own pace.

Anyone who does not have their own bike can borrow one from the project.
