Castlemilk Park fun day is huge success
Castlemilk Park was blessed with some good weather as they held their family fun day last week.
Locals headed down to the park for a busy programme of activities that included marshmallows, carnival games, face painting, a magic shows, arts and crafts, an appearance by owls and a performance from Chico the clown.
Many of the fun things on offer were linked to woodcraft, meaning that the visitors were learning all about the park while they were there, too.
Richard Bolton, Community Woodland Officer with Cassiltoun Housing Association, was pleased with how the day had gone - not least because it stayed dry!
He said: “We had a busy turnout with a lot of people in attendance.
“We’ve had trouble with bad weather this summer, meaning we had to postpone our doggie day earlier in the month.
“So it was nice to get a day where the sun was out!
“Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.”
