Assault denied

A Cambuslang man has appeared in court, charged with sexually assaulting a female police officer.

Andres Klenski appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week and pleaded not guilty to repeatedly attempting to kiss the woman’s hand and seizing her by the buttocks.

The offence is alleged to have taken place in Birkshaw Brae, Gowkthrapple, and en route to Motherwell Police Office on April 19 last year.

The 38- year- old also denied behaving in a threatening manner by shouting, swearing and making sexual remarks.

Klenski, of Morven Road, Cambuslang, will stand trial on November 2.
