Project aims to help job chances

A project that aims to sup­port mem­bers of the com­mu­nity in the use of tech­nol­ogy is op­er­at­ing in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang.

SE­LECT ( Sup­port­ing Em­ploy­ment and Learn­ing by Em­pow­er­ing Com­mu­ni­ties in Tech­nol­ogy) is a dig­i­tal project run by Com­mu­nity Links South La­nark­shire.

The aim is to help res­i­dents use the in­ter­net as a tool to in­crease em­ploy­a­bil­ity and fi­nan­cial ca­pa­bil­ity as well as in­crease ac­cess to on­li­neonly op­por­tu­ni­ties.

The ser­vice is avail­able Mon­days and Wed­nes­days at the Whit­law­burn Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre from 10am4pm.

The Cam­glen hub takes place on Fri­days at Num­ber 18, 18 Farmeloan Road in Ruther­glen from 9am-1pm.
