Cheaper travel to work

Rutherglen Reformer - - Intimatons -

People who are keen to cycle to work but lack confidence are being offered a helping hand by Camglen Bike Town Initiative.

Run by Healthy n’ Happy Community Trust, the initiative is offering free training to people who live and work in Rutherglen and Cambuslang throughout August.

Participants will be trained in basic cycle skills and will be supported to plan a route to work. They will be accompanied by an experienced cyclist on their first day of cycling to and from their workplace.

In addition to the free cycling workshops on August 20 and August 27 the Camglen Bike Town Initiative is running Wednesday guided rides.

Anyone who does not have their own bike can borrow one from the project.
