Car crash case is ad­journed

The case against a Castlemilk man who al­legedly failed to stop at the scene of a crash has been ad­journed.

Shahid Ali is ac­cused of not pro­vid­ing his name and ad­dress and that of the ve­hi­cle owner fol­low­ing a col­li­sion on Wal­lace Street, Glas­gow, on Au­gust 5, 2015.

The 36- year old is also ac­cused of fail­ing to re­port the in­ci­dent to po­lice within 24 hours, as re­quired when both par­ties have not ex­changed con­tact de­tails.

He is fur­ther charged with hit­ting a car, caus­ing dam­age, and of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing man­ner, shout­ing, swear­ing and ut­ter­ing racially abu­sive com­ments.

Glas­gow Sher­iff Court heard his trial diet would be re­sumed on Septem­ber 9 to al­low his de­fence more time to make prepa­ra­tions for trial.

Ali, of Brae­loch Drive, de­nies all charges.
