Car crash case is adjourned
The case against a Castlemilk man who allegedly failed to stop at the scene of a crash has been adjourned.
Shahid Ali is accused of not providing his name and address and that of the vehicle owner following a collision on Wallace Street, Glasgow, on August 5, 2015.
The 36- year old is also accused of failing to report the incident to police within 24 hours, as required when both parties have not exchanged contact details.
He is further charged with hitting a car, causing damage, and of behaving in a threatening manner, shouting, swearing and uttering racially abusive comments.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard his trial diet would be resumed on September 9 to allow his defence more time to make preparations for trial.
Ali, of Braeloch Drive, denies all charges.
