Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

A group of Rutherglen businesswomen are hosting a summer fete on Sunday, August 28.

The free event will be held at Whisk bakery in the John Hillhouse Industrial Estate, Cambuslang Road, from 2-10pm.

A DJ will entertain the crowd and cocktails will also be on offer.

Whisk owners Naomi Saunders and Alexis Vincent wanted to showcase independent businesses owned by women.

Among the guests showcasing their services will be Clare Hannah of Cotton Candy interiors, Alison Stanley from Scissor, Paper Stones gift and craft shop, Julie Anne Rooney from Om Beauty and jewellery designer Ruth Brown.

Naomi from Whisk said: “All our businesses rely on word of mouth so we wanted to do something to spread the word.”
