A warrant has been issued for a Rutherglen man who allegedly stole more than £21,000 from his mother.
Paul James Carmichael has been charged with committing bank fraud on a series of dates between February 14, 2013, and June 12, 2014.
The 45 year old is accused of setting up an internet banking account in his mother’s name and using the online account to electronically transfer sums of money between accounts belonging to his mother. He is also accused of transferring £21,440.47 from her accounts to his own.
Carmichael was due to answer the fraud charge during a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on August 9 but failed to appear. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
