Man says he’s not guilty of cop kick
A Rutherglen man pleaded not guilty to nine charges, including police assault, when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week.
Grant Morrison faces four charges of assault on August 22, 2015, including biting, kicking and scratching four police constables.
He is also charged with resisting, obstructing or hindering police officers in the line of duty during the same incident at a property on East Main Street, Rutherglen.
A sixth charge accuses Morrison of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
He is further charged with committing a breach of the peace on Main Street, Rutherglen, by shouting, swearing and conducting himself in a disorderly manner.
A final charge accuses Morrison, 36, of failing, without reasonable excuse, to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on January 18.
He will stand trial on September 19.
