String of charges to answer
A man has appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with two assaults on people in their workplace.
Mark McLaren, from Rutherglen, is accused of assaulting a ticket examiner at Glasgow Central Station by pushing her on December 14, 2015.
Later that day at Stewart Street Police Office, he was allegedly found with diamorphine, a class A drug, and was then charged with drugs possession and intent to supply.
In a separate incident on January 21, 2016, McLaren is accused of stealing a yogurt drink from a Union Street shop in Glasgow.
He is further charged with assaulting a man by biting him on the hand.
The 27 year old denied all charges against him when he appeared in court on September 27.
He will stand trial on October 24.
