Cambuslang boxer Jordan McCorry made it 10 wins as a professional with a comfortable points victory over Sheffield’s Qasim Hussain at the weekend.

The 25-year-old did not lose a round during his bout at the Bellahouston Sports Centre on Saturday, October 1.

And the former Trinity High pupil now has his sights set on a title belt after making the drop from lightweight to super featherweight. He said:“It was a comfortable win. I got a cut in the first round and had to just box away from it.

“Hopefully I’ll hear within the next few weeks about my next fight.

“I hope to be fighting again by the start of December, hopefully for a title over 10 rounds.”

He went on:“I’ve already won a Scottish title and I want another shot.

“It’s maybe a bit early for the British, but hopefully an international or Celtic .”
