A Fernhill pharmacy raised more than £1,000 for charity and thanked their customers for their generosity.

Melville Chemist organised their annual Macmillan coffee morning and cake sale on September 23 in aid of Macmillan Cancer support.

The store on Auchenlarie Drive raised an impressive £1,007.32 and even gave away prizes such as a Kindle Fire in their raffle.

Pharmacist Katie Stitt thanked everyone for their help on the day, saying“Everybody enjoyed it and there was a buzz about the pharmacy.

“I’d just like to thank the customers and local businesses for their support with cakes and prizes. The local shops helped a lot and some patients did some baking to raise a lot of money.”
