Young MSPs have the opportunity to represent the views of other young people in their area, and advocate for the issues that matter to them.

Clare Haughey, MSP for Rutherglen, said: “I have had the privilege of meeting several members of the Scottish Youth Parliament since I was elected in May.

“Those I have met have found it a valuable experience, not only for their personal development but, most importantly, ensuring that young people in Scotland are listened to on the issues that affect them.”

The next election to the parliament takes place in March 2017. For more information see stand4syp
