Fo­cus on smok­ing

Com­mu­nity Links South La­nark­shire are look­ing for smok­ers, non-smok­ers and exsmok­ers to take part in a fo­cus group.

It will look at how par­ents can pro­tect chil­dren from ex­po­sure to sec­ond- hand smoke, pre­vent them from start­ing to smoke or sup­port them to stop.

To take part peo­ple must be a par­ent/carer with a child un­der the age of 16 and live in North/South La­nark­shire.

The fo­cus group will meet in the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s Blan­tyre base, above the li­brary, and mem­bers will be re­im­bursed for travel ex­penses

They will also re­ceive a shop­ping gift voucher for tak­ing part. Tea, cof­fee, re­fresh­ments and healthy snacks will also be pro­vided.

Or­gan­is­ers will gather three fo­cus groups on Tues­day, Novem­ber 1. The non-smok­ers’ group will take place between 10am and 11.30am, the ex-smok­ers’ group will be between 12.30pm and 2pm and the cur­rent smok­ers will gather from 2.30pm un­til 4pm.
