BABY IS LEFT TO DIE FOR CHRISTMAS Man in court on attempted murder charge
A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a toddler two days before Christmas.
The two-year-old was left with serious injuries following an incident in a house in Cambuslang.
He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow where his condition was described as serious.
David McMullan appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with attempted murder and assault to severe injury, permanent impairment and to danger of life.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
McMullan, of Glasgow, appeared at the court on Friday and no new date has been set for his next court appearance.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: ‘A 32- year- old man was arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a two-year-old boy within a house at Dunlop Street, Cambuslang, on Wednesday, December 21.’
