BABY IS LEFT TO DIE FOR CHRIST­MAS Man in court on at­tempted mur­der charge

A 32-year-old man has ap­peared in court charged with the at­tempted mur­der of a tod­dler two days be­fore Christ­mas.

The two-year-old was left with se­ri­ous in­juries fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent in a house in Cam­bus­lang.

He was taken to the Royal Hos­pi­tal for Chil­dren in Glas­gow where his con­di­tion was de­scribed as se­ri­ous.

David McMul­lan ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court charged with at­tempted mur­der and as­sault to se­vere in­jury, per­ma­nent im­pair­ment and to dan­ger of life.

He made no plea or dec­la­ra­tion and was re­manded in cus­tody.

McMul­lan, of Glas­gow, ap­peared at the court on Fri­day and no new date has been set for his next court ap­pear­ance.

A Po­lice Scot­land spokesman said: ‘A 32- year- old man was ar­rested in con­nec­tion with the al­leged at­tempted mur­der of a two-year-old boy within a house at Dun­lop Street, Cam­bus­lang, on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 21.’
