Arrest warrant granted for man
An arrest warrant has been granted for a Cambuslang man who faced five charges including police assault.
Sean Kirkup is accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at Clyde Place, Cambuslang, on August 9, 2015, by shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks.
On the same date whilst at Cathcart Police Station, Kirkup is said to have acted in a racially aggravated manner by uttering racist remarks.
He is also charged with assaulting two police officers in execution of their duty by kicking one on the body and attempting to head butt the other.
Kirkup, 27, of Clyde Place, faces a fifth charge of failing to appear when called at Glasgow Sheriff Court in January 11, 2016.
He denies all charges against him but failed to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on December 20 and a warrant was granted for his arrest.
