Crown ac­cepts not guilty plea

The charges against a woman who is claimed to have shouted at a heav­ily preg­nant woman have been dropped.

Mary Ann Wel­don was claimed to have acted in an ag­gres­sive man­ner to­ward two women - one who was eight months preg­nant - at a Ruther­glen ad­dress on Oc­to­ber 22, 2016.

She was ac­cused of shout­ing, swear­ing, ut­ter­ing threats of vi­o­lence and re­peat­edly bang­ing a door.

The 21-year-old was fur­ther ac­cused of break­ing bail con­di­tions.

Wel­don, from Acredyke Road, ap­peared be­fore Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on De­cem­ber 19 and had her not guilty plea ac­cepted.
