Court hears that accused ‘drove at 100mph’ down the motorway
A 21-year-old from Cambuslang who denies racing another vehicle along a motorway at speeds of more than 100mph has had his trial continued.
Connor Mullan, of Dalziel Crescent, pleaded not guilty to the incident alleged to have taken place on the M74 between junctions one and two on October 17, 2015.
The accused is claimed to have driven, what is believed to be a Ford Fiesta, dangerously at speeds in excess of 110mph in a 50mph speed restricted zone, whilst racing another vehicle.
Glasgow man, Zoheb Bilal, 23, was also charged for the same actions and had his sentenced deferred for January 17.
Mullan will return to court on January 9, 2017.
