Emer­gency ser­vices rushed to res­cue a man who fell from a flat onto the roof of a two-storey build­ing in Cam­bus­lang on New Year’s Day.

Fire and am­bu­lance crews raced to Brown Place at 9.50pm af­ter re­ceiv­ing re­ports of a man in­jured on a roof of flats.

He was later taken to hos­pi­tal.

Emer­gency ser­vices raced to Brown Place at 9.50pm af­ter re­ceiv­ing re­ports a man was in­jured and on a roof of flats.

Crews from Scot­tish Fire and Res­cue used ser­vice lad­ders and an aerial res­cue plat­form to reach the vic­tim from the two-storey roof.

A spokesman for the fire and res­cue ser­vice said:“The Scot­tish Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice was called at 9.50pm to re­ports of a per­son in­jured on a roof on Brown Place in Cam­bus­lang.

“Fire ser­vice lad­ders were used to gain ac­cess to the in­jured per­son and an aerial res­cue plat­form was used to bring them down from the roof.

“The per­son was then passed into the care of Scot­tish Am­bu­lance Ser­vice be­fore be­ing taken to hos­pi­tal.

“There is no fur­ther in­for­ma­tion at this time.”
