Write stuff to do­nate pens!

Busi­nesses with an abun­dance of branded mer­chan­dise are be­ing en­cour­aged to do­nate pens to im­pov­er­ished chil­dren in South Africa.

The call for do­na­tions has been is­sued by four Stonelaw High School stu­dents who will be spend­ing two weeks at Ikusasalethu High School.

Alexander Ful­ton, Calum Lof­tus, Rebecca May, and Meg McA­teer fly out on Jan­uary 20 when they hope to give a pen to each of the 1,500 pupils at the school.

With many of the young peo­ple at Ikusasalethu strug­gling to buy pens, the Stonelaw stu­dents are hope­ful the Ruther­glen com­mu­nity will get be­hind their cam­paign.

In­di­vid­u­als and busi­nesses are asked to hand as many pens as they can into Stonelaw High School to­day, Wed­nes­day, and to­mor­row.
