Nominate a teacher who goes extramile
Parents and carers are being urged to make sure schools and teaching professionals who go the extra mile are recognised for their work.
Nominations are open for the Scottish Education Awards and deputy first minister John Swinney is keen for locals to get involved.
He said: “There is great strength in Scottish education, with teachers, parent s, pupils and community par t n e r s working hard to ensure that all children and young people have equal chances to reach their full potential.”
There is a wide variety of award categories which recognise and reward the dedication of teaching staff and educational supporters.
Entry is open to all publiclyfunded schools including primary, secondary, nursery and special schools.
Nominations close on February 15 and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow next June. To nominate a school or individual and for more information on the categories visit www. scottisheducationawards. co.uk.
