Get debt back on track at money clinic
A debt clinic will be held in Rutherglen helping people deal with the financial hangover from Christmas.
Lanarkshire Credit Union, along with the Citizens Advice Bureau, will be hosting the money management event in MSP Clare Haughey’s constituency office at 85 Main Street.
It is estimated the average cost of Christmas across the UK in 2016 was close to £800.
Many people suffer financial stress in the aftermath and Ms Haughey said: “The festive period can cause financial problems for families, and the Lanarkshire Credit Union is a fantastic organisation that can help people get their finances back on track. I’m also delighted that the Citizens Advice Bureau will be available to offer help and advice.”
The Lanarkshire Credit Union will be on hand to help you save for 2017, provide advice and answer any questions about your debt worries.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 21 between 11am-3pm.
