Alleged threats lead to trial
A man charged with scaring a woman at her Rutherglen home is accused of breaking his bail conditions.
Derek Kirkwood is alleged to have repeatedly attended the woman’s home between February 14 and February 16, 2016. He is said to have banged on the door of the property, shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence.
The 47-year-old is charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on those dates at the house on Colvend Drive.
He is further accused of approaching the woman and communicating with her at Colvend Drive on March 8, 2016 when his bail conditions prohibited him from doing so.
Kirkwood, of Castlefern Road, denied all charges against him when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on January 9. He will stand trial on February 1.
