Hospital threats de­nied

Hospital staff were sub­jected to a tirade of abuse at the hands of a Ruther­glen man, a court heard.

Jor­dan King, who lives in Green­hill Court, is ac­cused of plac­ing staff at Queen Elizabeth Univer­sity Hospital in a state of fear and alarm.

King, 24, is charged with act­ing in an ag­gres­sive man­ner, shout­ing, swear­ing and mak­ing threats of vi­o­lence to staff at the ac­ci­dent and emer­gency depart­ment on Oc­to­ber 16.

He ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Jan­uary 11.

He de­nies the charge against him and will stand trial on Jan­uary 30.
