Nursery report card
A Castlemilk nursery has been praised by the Care Inspectorate after a recent inspection.
Castlemilk Day Nursery was graded ‘ good’ by inspectors in terms of quality of care and support and quality of environment.
The unannounced inspection took place on November 29 but the results were only made public this month.
The majority of parents said they were overall happy with the quality of care their child received in the service.
Comments included: “All staff from the day nursery are more than friendly and welcoming. I am more than confident that my daughter is being looked after well.
“After one year of using this service my daughter’s development is coming along amazing and her confidence and relationships with the staff is amazing.”
The inspectors made five recommendations to the nursery management.
These included ensuring appropriate resources and safe sleeping practices are carried out and monitored and children’s medication is administered and stored in line with current best practice guidance.
The nursery had previously been expected in March 2015 when it was graded ‘good’ in four categories.
