One coun­cil­lor in Ruther­glen or Cam­bus­lang was fac­ing the chop, as the area com­mit­tee pre­pared to sub­mit its bound­ary change rec­om­men­da­tion.

Ru­mours con­tin­ued that Burn­hill Sports Cen­tre could close.

The fu­ture Mothers in Light­burn ex­pressed con­cerns over a lack of leisure fa­cil­i­ties for their chil­dren.
